MT2's
Unparalleled Remediation Solution - ECOBOND®
MT2 is the sole provider worldwide of
the patented & proprietary ECOBOND®.
This soil and waste remediation/stabilization
technology offers the following critical
advantages over traditional treatment
methodologies:
Ease of Application—
the reagent can be applied in a wet or
dry form and can be used to stabilize
metals in-situ or ex-situ. These varied
applications make it ideal for use at
a wide range of metals contaminated sites.
Lower Cost
(30% to 50%) as Compared to Alternative
Treatment Methodologies — in addition to the technical and
application advantages, the cost of utilizing
MT2's chemical stabilization process to
treat heavy metals contamination is extremely
attractive. By being able to treat metals
contamination to EPA RCRA or UTS, stabilized
waste can often be left on site rather
than be transported off site to a hazardous
landfill. The disposal cost savings for
stabilized metals can often be measured
in the hundreds of dollars per ton.
Reduction
of Owner's Environmental Liability — ECOBOND® combines with metals
to form new minerals that are extremely
insoluble. Metals insolubility reduces
bioavailability, which is the ability
of an organism to take metals into the
body. This limits or negates health risks.
Eliminates
the Generation of Hazardous Wastes — because the ECOBOND® process
converts the lead to a non-hazardous material,
no hazardous waste manifesting is required
and thus substantial disposal cost savings
are realized by disposing of the material
in a nonhazardous landfill or re-using
the material on site.
Proven Technology — ECOBOND® is a proprietary
technology approved by the EPA and state
regulators in over five years of operations
with guaranteed, field validated reliability.
The solubility of the treated metals is
typically reduced by a factor of 10 to
1,000 times.
Best Available
Technology — this
technology is a permanent and irreversible
chemical process; strength and durability
to 1,000 years verified by EPA approved
testing. Guaranteed lead recovery/recycling.
